HAYDITE

Haydite is produced by expanding and vitrifying selected shale in a rotary kiln at temperatures in excess of 2000°F. This process makes Haydite sterile and environmentally inert. It is a natural, non-toxic, highly absorptive ceramic granule with a generally neutral pH. It is dimensionally stable and will not degrade or compress like other amending products.

Those who practice the art of Bonsai have known for years the very special qualities Haydite imparts to soil mixes. It's unique properties help provide free passage of air and water to root systems while significantly reducing soil compaction. The micro porous internal structure of Haydite helps to maintain optimum moisture levels for vigorous healthy plants. Haydite absorbs excess water during rain or watering, then slowly releases this excess water as the soil dries, acting in effect like a time release capsule. This same concept works equally well in gardening, nurseries and turf cultivation.

Haydite soil conditioner is specifically designed for the demands of bonsai cultivation.

Haydite’s porous micro-surface texture and interior porous structure resist clogging and provides superior aeration that promotes growth of delicate, fine root systems. Problems of soil compaction are significantly reduced when Haydite is properly proportioned within the soil. The soil remains resilient because moisture and air movement are not restricted. Haydite provides the optimum condition for fast, healthy plant growth.

Grow Stronger Roots:

Haydite reduces compaction that leads to a shallow root zone and poor water infiltration. Haydite has a porous structure and strong particle integrity. When incorporated into the soil, Haydite provides needed porosity and air space to the root zone.

Increase Water Use Efficiency:

Haydite absorbs water and nutrients allowing for less run off. Water and nutrients are held by each particle and are slowly released back into the soil and root zone, as needed, promoting healthier root growth.
